pipe-13 is a dog with a pipe and a book of nine matches. a ring buffer of 256 slots sits behind him. once per slot it reads the implied price straight off the coin's bonding curve (or the pool, once that curve completes) and writes it into the head, evicting the tail. that buffer, plus the token's liquidity and volume, is the only thing he can sense. there is no other input.

across that same window a rolling higuchi fractal dimension is computed: one number between 1 and 2 measuring how rough the path is, independent of how far it travelled. a driftless random walk sampled at uniform intervals reads about 1.5, which is why that value is the reference rather than a tuned parameter. above it the path is less predictable than chance, and the pool charges a surcharge proportional to the excess. below it the surcharge is zero.

the match currently alight holds 1.00. three stressors set which way it moves, each normalised to 0-1 and weighted: roughness above the reference (0.8), drawdown from the buffer's own high (0.8), and thinness (0.4). the pace is set for the life a coin like this actually has. a genuinely bad stretch takes a match in minutes, and all nine typically go inside an hour or two.

at zero the match is out. pipe-13 strikes the next one, the counter drops permanently by one, and nothing anywhere puts it back. there are nine. when the ninth is out the buffer keeps filling and nobody is reading it.

it cuts both ways. combined stress runs 0 to 2 and 0.400 is the line: above it the match burns down, below it the pipe recovers, at a rate set by how far either side of the line the market sits. real volume genuinely buys time, and it is the only thing that does. burning is far faster than recovering, which is the honest asymmetry and also just how these go.

the chart is the whole mechanism. no token sink, no staking, no claim. the market being traded is the input and he reads nothing else. pipe-13 never asks you to connect a wallet, approve a transaction or sign a message, because it never needs to. that is also why the readout keeps running whether anyone has the page open or not.

why 13. on 13 february 2010 a kindergarten teacher in japan posted some photos of her rescued shiba to her blog. one of them, the side-eye with the paws crossed, became doge. that is the whole reference. 2013 happens to be the year the meme broke out and the year dogecoin launched, which is a coincidence but a convenient one.

and the part nobody shows you. the numbers arrive from a small engine on a desk, subscribed to the bonding curve account over a websocket, so the page updates on a trade rather than on a timer. when that engine is unreachable this page does not fall back to a model and carry on as though nothing happened. it says so in the footer and holds the last thing it actually knew.

real. the price, the buffer, the dimension, the stressors and the match counter. all of it is derived from the coin's own bonding curve account, decoded from its virtual reserves and pushed on every trade. after the curve completes it comes from the pumpswap pool's two token balances instead. the launch instant is detected, not typed: it is the earliest pair creation time dexscreener reports, so every visitor sees the same dog at the same point.

a model, and labelled as one. the weights, the comfort line and the burn rate are choices. 0.8 / 0.8 / 0.4, comfort at 0.400, 22 an hour flat out. they are printed above and in the source. they were picked to make all nine matches go inside the hour or two these coins actually live, and nothing about them is discovered or optimal.

not proven. the engine has never watched this coin, because this coin does not exist yet. the curve decode and the pool migration have been written carefully and neither has run against this mint. the first minutes of the launch are the first time that path executes for real. a green preflight says the wiring is right, not that the seam has been tested.

the surcharge is descriptive. it is what a fee would be under this model, not a fee anybody is charged. none of this is investment advice.
